Q&A: Where is the best way to buy merchandise to sell online?

To sell merchandise, try Yahoo Store or Merchant Solutions. To buy merchandise, I would recommend using the professional distributors in the industry that you are interested in. So if you are interested in selling say Motorcycle Accessories then find the one or two main US distributors and contact them. It is usually hard to get an account, but worth it.
I would not suggest using a general merchandise drop shipper, they usually sell to anyone and your margins will just not be enough to support your business.

Estate sales are great sources but you must know prices well of many things. I bought Fila shoes for .25 cents and sold them for $ 26.

Stains used: Cabot decking stain 7406(hazy within a year, mold). Consumer report consulted- bought Cabot a year ago beause it was highly rated. Formula of stain change from time to time?

I agree with you about Cabot — I used it one year ago and it’s so faded it needs to be re-done. I’m going to try Wolman next, on the advice of a painter. But really, I think it’s a crap shoot. One brand might be good in light colors, but not in dark — etc. People say Olympic isn’t good, but it lasted three years for me. Olympic just doesn’t make my preferred color any longer.
