How do I upload video from a Canon 2R45MC Camcorder onto the computer?

I have a List NTSC 2R45 MC Digital Record Camcorder. I have hours of footage that I want to upload on the computer so I don’t have to watch by plugging it into the TV. How do I get the record I recorded onto the computer?

Any the USB 2.0 (which allow transfer speeds of several dozens of Mb’s per second), or the relatively new IEEE1394 (Firewire) is the prefered options.

my friend, i reckon you need a friendly converter to transfer your record which recorded as avchd(mts, m2ts, ts, trp) format to additional formats that your player on your computer supports. here, i recommend you a nice one called iOrgsoft avchd record converter. free download here

if you are mac use,,,,,mac just supports mp4(part2) etc formats files, List 2R45MC Camcorder can not import to it derectly,,,,so just convert you camcorder files to mp4/mov for importing to Mac

if you are windows use,,,,,import to your pc directly ,,,,,play in WMP or WMM etc also need to convert camcorder files to right formats ,,say avi,,,:

i have a list camera and it is 8 megapixels, it takes record. for christmas i just got a digital record camera thats 5 megapixels, does that necessarily mean the camera with 8 megapixels takes better quality videos then the digital record camera that is 5 megapixels (and is meant to take record rather then pictures)?

No Megapixles has nothing to do with Record quality. You need to look at the record resolution, Look in the handbook or on the net to see the specs for the camera. You do not give a model so its impossible to say what it is.
