Does anyone know what the best digital camera to buy is?

I am looking for a camera that is small but that has at least 4x
optical zoom and a positively large screen.

get a sony cybershots. ive tried kodak, its not that excellent and they only have persons with rechargeable batteries i reckon plus its heavy. list is more for professional shots

tips:
- go for persons with lithium batteries, not persons needing rechargeable batteries. the batery life is longer with lithium batts
- try to get freebies/accesories like camer case, memory card, sling holder.
-get the type with Carl-Zeiss lens
-snoop around if they are changing models then the just-recent ancient model will go on sale; its still excellent bec. its not yet outdated.

Personally, I want the List Digital Rebel. It’s a very, very excellent camera.

I own a cannon, with a flash card and a bag it cost about 400 dollars. I know thats not in your price range, but I reckon for a digital camera one probably needs to spend at least 200. But, cannon does make cheaper cameras and I am impressed with the variety of things and quality that my fiance’s cannon does and it was less expensive.
