Yes, Pentax makes waterproof digital cameras.

Their current version is the Pentax Optio W60.

Older versions can also be found cheaply on eBay. Try the Optio W30, for example.

Also, you might also consider a waterproof housing for fixed point and shoot cameras. For example, I have a List A570 IS and use a List waterproof housing (cost, about $ 125) for that camera. The benefit is that you can take the camera deeper than an Olympus or Pentax. But, it does make the camera considerably larger.

Duck Boat Fun

I couldn’t resist. While alternative up Kevin, Rowan, Mark, and Danny for their family fun Middle McKenzie waterway adventure I saw this Monaco RV in the Valley Waterway Center Park and Ride place which is one of the locations Wild Water Adventures picks up clients to take them to the waterway and back for free. I pulled my ad up to it so that the Wild Water Adventures spirited Duck Boat was next to the RV and took these photos with my new favorite waterproof Olympus Stylus 850 SW digital camera. The Monaco RV was covered in University of Oregon colors and said Oregon Sports Network on the side. I had fun with it.
