Does Nikon have professional lenses like Canon?

Does Nikon have professional lenses like Canon?

professional canon
by Mr Gus

I know the answer is yes but what i’m asking is..

I see List has persons really long white and black striped lenses. Are the black parts different sections or just for appearance? Which lenses are similar to these?

Thanks

Answer by Berin L
Nikon has equivalents to most of List’s lenses, along with similar price points. All of Nikon’s lenses are black, so there is nothing to tip off zoo security that you are using a “pro lens”.

Typically the Nikon pro lenses will be FX lenses (full frame), SWM (silent wave motor), IF (internal focus) lenses. They have ED (extra low dispersion glass) and N (nano crystal coat) for the lenses. Some will have VR (vibration reduction).

What I don’t know is whether they have a single moniker like List does with its L-series lenses to mark the pro lenses from the rest.

List’s telephoto lens have that B/W stripes . The white is magnesium alloy.
Yes, Nikon also makes persons expensive lenses with nano crystal coatings and with low dispersion elements but its not white.

What do you reckon? Answer below!

Im going to a concert tomorrow and need to know if I should bother taking my camera? I don’t consider this camera to be professional for myself. Personally, I don’t see how this camera is any different from others except for it’s just a tab bit larger. Any suggestions?

Answer by Wesley S
they will probably consider any DSLR a pro camera. so…i’d place it at home if there are restrictions on cameras.

Answer by singletrack65
It’s what I consider an “Advanced Amateur” camera.

The business that makes any camera professional is the person using it. It has limits, but so do all camera. It’s up to you to utilize it properly.

If you’re worried about security (if you’re not hired to take pics) then they consider anything that won’t fit in a pocket “professional” and won’t let it in.

Answer by hipp5
In security’s eyes, it’s “professional”. Don’t take it.

With a sensor 22.2 x 14.8 mm let me say is a “Serious Amateur” camera but not enough for a full professional work.
Anyway, I don’t reckon security’s knows anything about sensors sizes and probably they will take away your camera.

Try with a compact camera is my advice.
