Is the Nikon D3000 a good Beginner DSLR camera?

I am a beginner with DSLR cameras and this would be my first time. I am only a teenager but is crazy about photography and i am wondering is it a good purchase for a beginner level SLR? Hey Zachary,

The D3000 is a high quality camera, and may be a little too nice for a beginner. What most beginners do for their first camera, is to buy one second hand. Maybe look on craigslist in your local area and look for some used cameras, so in case you get tired of photography, or think it isn’t for you, you can know you didnt waste $ 650 on a failed hobby.
But, if you are sure you want to buy that deal, and you want to stick with photography for a while, then that is a very good deal for all of that!

A Hamster

Today we passed by the Animal Market (next to Friday Market). Nat wants to get a pet so we went to see what was available. We found dogs, cats, birds, monkeys, ostriches, chickens, ducks, turkeys, you name it they had it. In the end we decided we would get a hamster. Before we do though we need to order the hamster a decent playground. I hate putting animals in cages. I would never buy birds for example because I can’t stand the site of them being locked up. So, I told Nat if we are going to get a hamster we should get him the coolest playground we can get. Something huge with lots of things for the hamster to do. I checked Amazon.com and found a couple of cool products but we will probably go with the Park Avenue Duplex since its the biggest playground we could find and I could expand it more with accessories if I wanted to. Once I place the order and get the product, then we will go back to the animal market and get hamster. I still need to read online though if it would be better to get 2 hamsters that way they could entertain themselves. Off the subject now, remember the microwave oven macaroni and cheese product I purchased the other day. Well it turned out to be amazing, I have had it twice now and I really enjoyed it both times. Its very easy to make and costs only 950 fils for a pack of 6 dinners. I definitely recommend it.

Brand names ? Nikon, Panasonic, Kodak which is best and why… I want a good camera don’t wanna spend too much or little. How do I decide. I have looked at 7 mp cameras at Walmart the panasonic, the kodak, and the 5 mp nikon are in my price range but what are the differences? One person tells me go with Kodak because of all the accessories and support out there another tells me Nikon is worth the money is it?>

also take into consideration what you are going to use it for? just shooting pictures? you do not need a high megapixel camera. I use a Casio and love it. cannon makes a very good camera. the higher the megapixel the bigger the files are. so they take more space on the memory card, and will take more space on the hard drive.

i’d go with nikon coz it’s one of the 3((canon,nikon and sony)) most popular ,perfectly working cameras in the world .

Stick with the brands of Nikon, Canon, Sony and Fugi. For most people 4,5, or 6 megapixels would be fine. Kodak MAY make a fine camera today, but they haven’t been in the running for at least 40 years. Their film is a different story.

Nikon cameras are very wel built and come with great support but Kodak goes better with the configuration wuth computers.
