I bought the Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera for my birthday but I was really disappointed. My pictures were not as apparent as promised!! The worst business was that after two weeks it started making a pun noise and it had a hard time turning on. I took it back and they told me that something broke inside of the camera. I wanted to exchange it but the guy told me (who was a professional working with cameras for 33 years) that this may happen again because it is not the strongest camera and it’s reasonably sensitive. So I questioned him which was the best camera he would recommend and he said “Get a Cannon!!!! ” But if I did not want to spend that much money he said get a Sony. I questioned him about Kodak and he said they were excellent cameras but I should spend my money on a Sony because it’s more worth it. Sony’s are just better quality and take nicer pictures.

I reckon you should get a Sony by looking at your budget. Sony’s are brilliant cameras and they last for a very long time. They are also really strong!!! Your pictures will be gorgeous and it’s fantastic for everyday use. For example here is a sony that would fit your budget and is a fantastic camera.

I hope this helps and excellent luck!!!! :-)

Just because you have an 8.2MP camera does not mean you have to use that background.

Higher mega pixels may not really be the best business to look for. It is more expensive, takes longer to process, and may not be needed unless you are making a really large picture or blowing up a small part of a picture.

The information about my camera is just to show that you don’t need the largest and best. Just know how to use the one you have.

My camera has 5.2 mega pixel, but I use 3 most of the time because it gives fantastic results, is nearer, and takes less memory. Also, it only has a 3 x optical zoom and 7x digital zoom. I never use the digital zoom because making pictures larger works better on the computer. This is an ancient camera, but everyone is impressed with the quality pictures it takes … like magic

SD Memory Card 1GB*1 Approx. 210 shots (Fine) / 393 shots (Normal) / 579 shots (Economy). You can apportion persons numbers by four a 256MB memory card.

There are some advantages for using the 256 to 512 MB card. It should be nearer and it will promote downloads which is where the pictures should be stored. At 3MP my 5.2 MP camera gives me 225 -250 pictures with a 256MP card. Sandisk memory for the same price is nearer.

I have several 256mb memory cards and I place them away when I went up from a 3mp camera.

Frankly, you can get 2gb cards for under $ 15-20 now at virtually any department store like Target or Walmart. There are even better deals online (Amazon.com) or at electronics supplies on weekend sales. When I was shooting a 6mp DSLR, I’d always carry at least two 2mp cards, and now with my 10mp DSLR, I keep 8mp cards around.

Digital camera memory is cheap and overflowing. I wouldn’t downsize my images, because of one thought. What if you capture THAT moment – the one image that only you captured? What if you wanted to crop it, make enlargements, or print it out for all to see – but you’d had your camera set for some “snapshot” lower resolution? You can always make the photo smaller with lower resolution. But you can’t make it larger with higher resolution afterwards.

The only use I have for my smaller cards now, is to load pictures to pass onto to friends.

The tennis cam was fun, so I thought I’d try a ping pong cam, lol. Just some rallies between me and Ryan, and then I act as a target as he tries to wail a ping pong ball at my head, LOL. Excellent times!
