Does the Nikon D90 come with a lens or would I need to buy one?
It’s gonna be my first DSLR and so far I’ve only done point-and-shoots. Does the Nikon D90 come with a lens? Can I start taking pictures with it without having to spend any extra money? Or would I need to spend some more to get a lens?
Answer by Martin G
It’s available as body only, or with a kit that includes the Nikon AF-S 18-105mm VR. The kit is a excellent combination. You might ultimately find you covet an additional lens for some situations, but the 18-105mm should cover most.

It can be bought as a body only or with an 18-105mm kit lens.

No, you can not use the body alone. You have to place a lens on it first.
It would be best for you to get the D90 with the kit lens.
