Is Canon Rebel T21 a Professional Camera?

Is Canon Rebel T21 a Professional Camera?

I’d like to take my camera to the Mexico Vs Ecuador game this weekend in the Qwest Field in Seattle, WA, but I just received an email saying professional cameras are forbidden. Is mine considered professional?

Answer by Welcome to my nightmare
According to Digital Photography Review, the T2i is “calculated to appeal to first-time DSLR buyers and enthusiasts”

But, I seriously doubt stadium staff can differentiate between a pro-level and consumer camera.

By professional they generally mean a DSLR, which would include the T2i.

The T2i is a dSLR. Strictly speaking, cameras can’t be professionals, only public can. In your question’s context but, the Rebel is a “professional”.

Answer by Jim A
by forbidding “professional” cameras they’re stating their case for copyright protection. They’ll take one look at a t2i and keep (and perhaps you) out.

When they say “professional cameras”, they paint all cameras with the same broad brush.

Point & shoot digitals = yes.
Any DSLR = no.

You may be able to get by with a join camera, that’s a digital compact with a longer lens that has some of the attributes of a DSLR. But, in the end, it’s up to the security public at the gates.

They don’t care if it’s a $ 7000 camera or a $ 60 35mm slr, if it looks like a pro camera, then you can’t bring it in.

Has anyone located and bought one and can give me a tips and a review and tell me the name of the camera. It can be any brand. I just want a excellent picture quality so that I can take excellent pictures.

Sorry my friend, but pro cameras range from $ 3000 and up.

List, Nikon, Sony and additional manufactures make very nice “point and shoots” for the money you wish to spend.

Innumerable outdoor tests recored at different focal lengths followed by some indoor and low light tests. All footage was originally recorded at 24 Mbps, edited and saved at the highest quality .m2ts. Take into account youtube’s high compression rate, and you’ll end up with this. Youtube also seemed to have added some small record glitches that aren’t in the raw record. I seem to have the best luck avoiding things like that if I compress videos first before uploading it to youtube, but you still get the point. This is reasonably a nice camcorder. Very solid indoor performance, with even nicely detailed outdoor performance.
