I would also like one with good battery.

If you have another camera in mind that has all of the features I want, feel free to let me know :-)

Thank you.

OK Let me add more details — I want the extra types of shots like “Night portrait, action shots”, etc. I want clear pictures that look professional. My camera now just looks like a picture. I want a battery that has a good battery and doesn’t run out after taking 2 flash pictures. And I want it to last a long time and high quality :-)

sounds like you want the camera and the kitchen sink! Your “description” is very lacking. “lots of extra features?!!” what features are that? “takes excellent pics??” i think thats a given…everyone wants a camera that takes the best pics. I will draw the conclusion from the target links you listed…that you are looking for a slim form factor point & shoot. i would suggest to order the canon sd1100is from amazon for $ 170 shipped. its just like the sd1100 you picked…except it adds Image Stabilization and its less expensive!

Personally, having owned both a Casio and a Canon I would have to suggest the Casio Exilim for it features (good quality with night pictures, sports, fireworks, automatic shutter when the camera detects someone smiling, etc.) but as Casio is fairly new to the game of cameras, there really isn’t any guarantee as to how long the camera would last. An earlier version of Casio Exilim that I know of has stayed in perfect working condition for two years, but beyond that, who knows?

Canon is a really good brand, know for great picture quality and long camera lives. But the features are a little less than that of Casio. I would have to say go for the Exilim, if you’re willing to try a good (and uber cute) new camera, but go for the Canon powershot if you want a durable camera.

You want a lot – maybe you should step up to a DSLR so you can have a selection of lenses.

But don't buy it at any of these rip-off scam sites that are owned by George Sabato:

I just bought a Canon SD1100 8MP At amazon.com and I LOVE IT, it takes great fast photos and has tons of options, you can do color swap, color accent, b&w, sepia, its a great camera & canon offers a pretty good warranty. I believe Amazon.com has the camera for 169.99 Right now which is even cheaper than I bought mine for a month ago !

20100501 – camera test – Canon PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph – Oranjello close-up – 150
canon digital camera target

Image by Rev. Xanatos Satanicos Bombasticos (ClintJCL)
We got a Canon PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph camera for at a yard sale! It was missing the USB cable, but it worked with the one from our broken Canon PowerShot S330 Digital Elpha camera (which cost 0 in 2001). This camera has amazingly good imaging, and can take pictures in rapid succession soooo much faster than the other 2. It’s also our smallest camera. Unfortunately there’s only 1 battery.

Oranjello the cat, camera test, fur.
extreme close-up.

I’m going to be getting some money in a few weeks and I have plans on how I’m going to spend most of it but I still have more than $ 300 left. Should I buy an Acer netbook or a camera with the money left over?

netbook cuz yu can go on the internet, watch moves, play games, webcam chat, and lots more!

Answer by Cupcake
Get a Netbook, but avoid ones with Windows 7, on a Netbook, they will run like a dog with a leg missing, if you must have Windows 7, get one with 2GB of memory, and add a bit more and find a 12″ screen as 10″ sometime can be hard to read.

As for the camera, for that price, unless you use it daily, its way over priced for something that spec.

Answer by Nicholas
it depends on how much you take pictures or how much you will use a computer.
you could buy the camera then go to a pawn shop or a computer store and find a cheaper laptop that is still pretty good or vise a verse.

Answer by Friend
I wouldn’t suggest a ACER netbook… you are better off saving a bit more and buying a full size laptop. I would suggest an HP netbook if you decide to get one. They are nice. Im on one now.

Cameras are nice to have but they have less things to do than a netbook. Buy a cheap Digital Camera for like $ 100 :-D Target always has great sales on them and Bestbuy will too.

BTW. HPs are very camera friendly, so if you plan on getting both, get the HP. Thee software they hhave on it is cool :-D

I hope this helps.
