I bought a digital camera from Walmart and bought the two year warranty with it. The shutter won’t open automatically now, a simple conundrum I suppose, so now I need to get it fixed. Do I need the receipt to have Walmart fix it (and I don’t have the receipt anymore), or shall I just skip that part and call the camera maker?

if you have the reciept it makes life a lot simpler otherwise they should have it on file especially if you bought the 2 year warranty. I worked at sears, we had records in our computers on sales up to 5 years ancient which we can find with a credit card or phone number. I feel walmart should be similar. You can always call that walmart and see what they say.
