When I am video taping with my olympus camedia digital camera d-395 it does not record the volume. Help!?

you might have the camera on mute
or your fiddle with might be over the microphone

Olympus digital camera
Are Olympus digital cameras supposed to have record recording with no sound? Does the Olympus FE 210 record record with sound? It is really useless to have a record feature with no sound.

Ok we have an ancient Olympus
And annoyingly enough it doesn’t record with sound by default, it’s the dumbest background out there in my opinion. You have to go into the menu in the recording ‘dial’ and turn sound on..,. It’s a bit different on each camera so just try to do that. It doesn’t do it by default on our camera and I’d guess it’s the same with yours.
Anyway that’s why I upgraded for myself to Cannon 
Excellent luck result it, you can also check out the Camera’s manual which would have that in it as well

The description on Olympus’ website does give the impression that it records with sound:
“Or, record television-quality movies — up to the capacity of your xD card — in AVI Movie mode.”
FYI – the ‘A’ and ‘V’ in AVI mean “audio” and “record”.
