Are Panasonic's TOUGHBOOKS the best deals for high performance laptops? Are you a user of this computers?

I’m considering buying Panasonic’s ToughBook. But I was wondering if this is the best deal for a high performance mainframe. If you’ve ever used thsi computers, how is Panasonic’s Customer Support? Or are there additional toughbooks by additional companies, not Panasonic. THANK YOU!

I’ve got a Toughbook, and let me tell you, it is hard to imagine the business life any better.
Panasonic makes pretty much the whole business in a special factory, so they control it all. Their customer support is nothing small of legendary, and Toughbook customers receive membership into an exclusive club. They have a whole division dedicated exclusively to keeping Toughbook customers pleased. The warranty is iron clad, and the mainframe is nearly indestructible.
That said, they aren’t the fastest machines on the block, but they are quick for what they are. They are calculated to be tough first, quick second.
You can toss it in the bed of a pickup while it is running, and drive around in the rain for 3 hours, and it won’t miss a beat. There are websites out there dedicated to abusing them for amusement.
You just can’t beat the darned things. I certainly like mine.
You can’t beat the battery life, any. Absolutely top notch. Just go buy one, you will be pleased. Personally, I’ve got a CF-30, and I wouldn’t give it up for the world.

Outside the Best Buy on SPID

After reading lots of online reviews, I’m pretty sure that this is the camera that I want to buy. But, I want to have a look at it in person before I take the plunge. Best Buy doesn’t have it in their supplies and neither does Circuit City. Where else might I find it? Are there any digital photography supplies with a wide choice in SF?

That’s a lot of money to pay for a camera with no Image Stabilization, no viewfinder, and you can’t manually set the aperture or shutter. But if this is the one you have your heart set on, look in the phone book and see if you have any Ritz or Wolfe Camera supplies Then start calling them to see if they carry that model of camera. There may be additional excellent camera supplies, too. I’m not familiar with what is in SF.
If you can’t find it, consider a different camera. There are a lot of them out there, and I’m sure you will find something to satisfy you.
