You may want to try Website dpreview.com and compare it’s reviews yourself.
In general I’d go with Sony.

The Sony wins the Olympus. Firstly and very greatly, it's aperture is much better than the Olympus (Sony – f/2.8 Olympus f/3.1). Secondly, it has a optical viewfinder which comes in clever when your battery is low.
One benefit the Olympus has over the Sony that it has higher ISO up to 1250. Another business both of these disadvantages is that both of them use awkward memory cards. The Sony uses Memory Stick Duo and the Olympus uses xD memory card.
I advice you to try looking around for more at this price. Try going for the List A570 IS.

My first choice was the second one, till i saw this kodak. I’m not a fan of kodak aesthetically, but when i compared the two, i wasn’t sure which one was the best.
here is the comparison : http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=cat13504&type=page&pageIdentity=searchDriven&_DARGS=/site/en_US/catalog/fragments/product/olscompareproductcenterwell.jsp
which one would be the best??
And why do they have both digital magnification and digital zoom on the comparison column?? whats the difference? One is a 40x digital zoom with a 2x magnification (sony) and the additional is a 5x digital zoom with a 5x magnification.
Also, whats the difference between digital and optical???
Thanks!!

I would go with your first instinct: The Sony H20B is a fantastic camera for the class.
Don’t bother with Digital zoom. All it does is enlarge the image just as you would in your pc… you lose image quality. Only concern yourself with the optical zoom which is done with the lens.
In this regard the camera’s are equal as they are with mega pixels.
The Sony has a nicer LCD and IMO better features and a higher quality lens and image processor.
They Sony is reasonably a bit more but you seem to have found a sale which is another reason to go with the Sony. A lot more camera for 30 bucks more.
