where do i find a cord for my mini DV camcorder?

I need to copy my videos To my windows XP Computer, From my JVC camcorder. The camera is model GR-D347. what kind of cord do i need?

Answer by Mike
You will need a firewire cable to do this. Make sure you also have a firewire port on your computer also (they look like this: http://akamaipix.crutchfield.com/lifestyle/2001/h6PinFirewireJack.jpeg ). You can buy this at Best Buy, Walmart, and probably pretty much any electronic store.

You need a firewire port on your computer and a firewire cord. These are pretty cheap and can be bought online or at an electronics store. StashSpace.com offers a free software that allows you to easily capture directly from your camcorder.

Another option you have is to send your tapes to be converted. StashSpace.com will also do this and then host your record online for you to edit and make DVDs or you can get back a portable hard drive with the files. It usually costs $ 7 per tape for the encoding but they are running a holiday promo site wide where the encoding is FREE with a premium account.

Check them out at http:/www.stashspace.com Excellent Luck.

Ok i have a JVC camcorder business the model is GR-D90U im not sure why but the battery lasts less than 15 minutes. do i need a new battery? whats incorrect here? yes i fully charge it.

If you don’t allow the camera battery to fully run-out before charging it, it really ends up screwing it up and makes it so that it doesn’t charge correctly. The only business that can be done to fix that conundrum is to buy a new battery, like you questioned, and to have your camera checked out to see if there is a conundrum with the power reciever, or the part that is used to run the camera. If that is the conundrum, you will, most likely, have to pay roughly $ 40 depending on where you live. Not allowing the battery on any electronic device that has a rechargeable battery must be ran out to the fullest extent before charging it. By doing this your battery will last as long as possible. Excellent Luck!

If you bought it less than a year ago try calling customer service at 800-252-5722. If not then i would buy a new one… you might of screwed it up by not charging it all the first time… or might of been defective.

YES…you need a new….JVC batts run out quick….and if theyre used…then theyre semi dead….Get a couple of newer ones…to avoid a hard time…
