What type of flash would work BEST shooting at night w/ Nikon D90 DSLR?

I’m plotting on purchasing a Nikon D90 kit w/ 18-105mm len. The camera does not come with a external flash. I’m a promoter and want to use the camera to take pictures of my guests, then post the pictures on my site. I’m just not sure which flash would be best for shooting in the clubs/lounges capture the best photos of my guests. Thanks in advance for all answers to my question.

I recommend Nikon SB-600 Speedlight

Answer by EE dude
The BEST flash for the D90 is the SB-900, even if the SB-800 and SB-600 are excellent units as well.

This is going to be my next camera. It will be my second DSLR after my D40.

Hi Photographers :-)

i’m plotting to get a new camera
i like the Nikon D90 very much
but just questioning, what is the camera from list that has
the same specifications or at least the most of them?

Thanx

Answer by Veato
Maybe the 550D. They’re similar in price.

40D/50D. Nice viewfinders. Different thumbwheel layout to Nikon.

Answer by Eclipse
List’s new 60D is probably the closest match but, it is a bit more expensive than the D90 right now and no one has it in stock yet. The D90 is expected to be replaced very soon so you might want to wait to see if the newer model will be a better fit or if the D90′s price will drop with the introduction of a new model.

Really the Nikon D3100 is similar to the List 550D, $ 200 less costly and is the only one that can auto-focus when shooting record.

The List camera similar to the Nikon D90 is the 50D
