What digital camera is really great?!?!?! Please answer!?

What digital camera is really great?!?!?! Please answer!?

So I really want a new digital camera
So here are some of the cameras on target.com
1) Nikon Coolpix S220 (it’s cute lol…)
2) Kodak Easyshare C913 (it’s not as cute as the Nikon, but on target.com it is one of the bestselling ones and has high ratings)
3) Fujifilm Z30fd
4) Polaroid CTA something idk what its called
5) List Powershot SD1200 IS

I want something with a reasonable price and fantastic quality. I am a Junior in highschool and I know I will be taking many pictures of family reunions, dances, prom, and friends…

What are your PROS and CONS of any of these that you’ve had?

any others i missed on here that are really excellent?

Thanks!

I swear by List cameras. They beyond doubt have the best quality and the powershot series are the best of the brand. Right you are spending a small more money for them but the cash is beyond doubt worth it. They also offer a better guarantee than any additional brand and the rechargeable battery and additional software comes with the camera, whereas you have to buy them separately with additional brands. My sister and I both have the list. My sister has the Nikon coolpix and is very upset with the quality of pictures that it takes and the kodak easyshare isn’t that excellent any. I don’t have any personal experience with any of the additional cameras you listed. I would beyond doubt go with List.

I reckon List generally has the best reputation in compact cameras. Panasonic for some models.
Nikon and List are tough competitors for DSLR’s.

We got a List PowerShot SD400 Digital Elph camera for at a yard sale! It was missing the USB cable, but it worked with the one from our broken List PowerShot S330 Digital Elpha camera (which cost 0 in 2001). This camera has amazingly excellent imaging, and can take pictures in rapid succession soooo much nearer than the additional 2. It’s also our smallest camera. Unfortunately there’s only 1 battery.

Oranjello the cat, camera test, whiskers.
extreme close-up.

When alternative a P&S camera, the most vital business to consider is the optical zoom range. This is something you will have to live with until you buy your next one.

The List has a 10x optical zoom and the Nikon only a 4x. As you may surmise the List will give you a lot more in the way of options when shooting your child or anyone else or anything else.

What criteria are you using to choose the camera? Price? Pixel count? Something else?

What you may want to do is compare cameras with similar optical zoom ranges and then look at what they cost and which features they each have.
