Is the circuit city franchise really going out of business? I heard it on the street and not sure if its true.

Nope, they won’t go out of business anytime soon. Blockbuster tried buying them out, but didn’t offer enough. No one else is yet to make a substantial offer. They may turn into a private business, but won’t go out of business.

2nd to last day of Circuit City.

I have been looking at a xbox 360 bundle to be sold at circuit city on black friday. I heard it will be crazy. What time should i be there in the morning? I am not going to go the the night before. But what time in the morning should i be there? And another question, When they open the doors, do they let every one in or just a certain number of people at a time?

as early as possible be there 10 minutes before the door opens and run to the ally were the xbox are

id get up super early, the lines start forming around 3-4 in the morning. i know, early? but its sooo worth it, especially if your getting something for CHEAP!
and for your other question, they let everyone in, but sometimes they give “tickets” to people waiting in line because they dont have a huge ammount of each item. If you recive a ticket, your allowed to purchase that item.

As early as you can. Last year I got to a Circuit City at 4PM on THANKSGIVING DAY and was the 5th person in line!!!

Yes, I stood in line for over 12 hours, but they gave out “vouchers” for all the great deal items, so once you got the voucher you wanted, they handed these out about 2 hours before they opened the doors, you could leave, the vouchers held your item until 10am.

Im not sure if the xbox will be considered a voucher item or not, its usually the laptop for $ 300 and the big screen for $ 500 or whatever may be the biggest deal. If it is a voucher item, another thing to consider is that you can usually find someone who waited all night that got all of the vouchers, even for stuff they aren’t purchasing and offer them $ $ $ for the xbox voucher.

Thats what I did last year, got a lot of the vouchers and sold most of them for $ 25 each. It still saved the person money on the item and paid for the 3 things I was picking up. The management of the store was told that a lot of us were doing it and they told the other customers that they couldn’t stop us from doing it, once we had the voucher it was ours to do whatever we wanted with it.

I purchased a used VCR for :00 from Circuit City on last day of their going out of business clearance sale. Apparently, this VCR was used in the office because of the associate training video found inside. I dont know jack about retail sales, but this video talks about how to do inventory & counts at a Circuit City store.
