Camcorder that's good to take up to the mountain?

I’ve been wanting to take a camcorder up to the mountain to take some snowboarding videos and i currently have a Olympus Stylus 1010 digital camera. But, my camera doesn’t have optical zoom when i’m recording a record and only does digital zoom which makes the record quality terrible. Also my camera isn’t very compatible with youtube so the quality is really terrible.

So I’ve been looking around for a excellent quality camcorder that can withstand cold temperatures, is durable, takes excellent quality record, is waterproof or water resistant and has no moving parts.

Then I came across the Panasonic SDR-SW20 Digital Camcorder which seemed pretty excellent. But i read some reviews and public said it wasn’t that fantastic.

Any suggestions on camcorders?

This is not water resistant or water proof. But a fantastic camera for a fantastic price. Amazon.co for $ 294.72 (reseller) BestBuy.com has them for $ 299.99 in additional colors.
