Not happy with the picture quality of the Canon GL2?

I have a list GL2 and i am not overly pleased with the picture quality. I shoot amateur films and i find that it is fuzzy and is not overly apparent picture. Is this because something in broken or is that just the camera. My friend has a cheap $ 350 standard def digital it they nearly look the same. Just curious cause it wasn’t cheap.
Yes i had bought it used, how do you do a reset on the gl2? and it does the same in auto focus

I have been using a GL2 for reasonably a few years. It has incredible picture quality. Looks HD. Maybe there is an issue with that one. Did you get it used?

Try doing a camera reset.

One day the cannon said to “eject tape” when no tape was inserted. The camera screen then proceeded to turn white and turn off and won’t turn on anymore. I’m nearly positive it’s in safe mode because if not the tape engine wouldn’t work but the camera would turn on.

I dont know of a reset button on the camera, best business is to remove the battery, main one and also the small button type, (bottom) place it for a while say 20 minutes and then try it again. Eject tape error can come from a very dirty record head, you may maybe try cleaning it (if you can get it to run) also if you are mixing tape brands then that wont help, try to only use the same ones (brands) the lubricant clogs up the heads.

I have looked on Youtube and I have only seen a couple of videos that give this Camcorder justice. So, I chose, hey, why don’t I make a test of this Camcorder, and here it is.
