They are reasonably similar, but the Nikon is 10mp and has 5x zoom. it’s also a bit cheaper. But which one is better quality, takes the best pictures etc. ?

I checked out some sites, and at walmart they are nearly exactly the same price at around $ 169.

I like photography, and I’ve had fantastic experiences with Nikon camera’s. The Coolpix is somewhat new, and so it will probably be a small more advanced. On the walmart site it said it had some really cool features such as face detection and a vibration reducer for clearer pictures. And like you said it’s resolution is better. So I would go with Nikon, nothing against List, it’s also fantastic, but if you’re going to compare I reckon Nikon wins.
