Your best bet is to just go into the store that you got your card from and have them look up your account. Once they look up your account they’ll have all your info right there on their computer and you can pay it then. That’s stupid that they charge $ 15 to pay it online, but depending on how much you owe, are going to pay and how much of a hassle it is to go into the store it may be worth it……just my opinion!

I know exactly what you mean, you can view and pay your account online, if its due the same day you can still pay it but they charge 15 dollars

Here is the link just click on manage your card. From my experience you can not pay it at the store.
they only charge 15 if its due within two days, otherwise there is no fee. the 15 dollars for me was better than the late charge

No I pay it online for free, when you go to bestbuy.com go to credit cards and click on manage my account then you can get to the HSBC web page that you can make your payment in but don’t choose rush payment so there would be no fees for fixed payment.

If you are late, and have lost the statement, the hurt is done already. You’ve already incurred the late fee and interest.
Just wait for the next statement to arrive, and pay the card off. As long as you pay off within the later month, your credit history will not be effected.

Instead of going to individual sites to pay bills online, why don’t you use online billpay thur your bank — most major banks offer it free of charge.
You go to one place and schedule all your bills. You can set up automatic payments for recurring charges like mortgage or car payment. Most payments process within 2 or 3 days. A few places may have to have checks mailed and take longer.
You have complete control and can exchange or stop payments right up to the last small. You also have records showing your payment history. I’ve used my bank online billpay for over 5 years and never had a conundrum.

Selling art

Vlad Tixon is a NYC artist that you can find in the Battery Park among art sellers.
The one you see him working on is incredible. I wanted it, but left to ‘buy another day’ as money was scarce for me (he just started to work on it when I questioned him about his practice) because my money was nearly over…
So I just had like ~30 USD for all the day because I made the mistake of paying many things of my trip to NY the month before (+embassy taxes, health care, also buying an ultracompact camera and a dSLR, forgetting that I had used it in my hometown a lot already, etc) with it and bringing just one credit card (Amex) with me (my advice: never do that) and a Visa Electron debit card that was to expire during the trip and was not [really] authorized for international use and had nearly no money, damn! Oh, I forgot to say: if you use the Electron brand you’re on your own, or at your bank’s own… The Visa Corp. can’t do anything for you if you need a new card overseas and your stupid bank tells you that you’ve to get it at your community agency only, for example (hey, have I forgot that I questioned for it in advance and they hadn’t it ready when promised [and that they told me that it couldn't be place on a priority list or something like that]?). So don’t rely on it as a backup, especially if its expiration date is before the trip, as it was my case.
Anyway… I’ve tried to find him later (and hard enough, was there like four or five times), even called his phone number and questioned some community sellers there, but couldn’t get in touch. Maybe he was inspired enough drawing some hot stuff…
I am thinking about opening a best buy credit card to buy some school stuff I need. I have a steady income and may maybe pay it off in about 2 months easily. I also know that retail cards like the best buy card can’t have any positive impact on your score, but they can have negative impact if you don’t pay off your balance.
What I’d like to know is if I open the card, buy my stuff, pay it off in a month or two and close it. Will that have any influence on my credit score?
Answer by timothy p
” I also know that retail cards like the best buy card can’t have any positive impact on your score” Best Buy issues the card from any Chase or HSBC through an agreement they have. This will appear on your credit report as a revolving account from any bank with Best Buy associated with it. It will impact your score just like a fixed credit card. Due to the agreement, you can only use the card to hold from Best Buy though.

Timothy’s right. A retail credit card is just like a fixed credit card and will be reported on your credit report – both the excellent and terrible. If you open a credit card, use it for only a few months, then close it, your credit score will take a hit. It will take a small hit when you apply for the card (credit inquiry) and another one potentially when you close it (because it may exchange your whole credit utilization, which is a piece of your credit score).
If you “need” stuff for school, I’d suggest getting a fixed credit card, as retail cards typically carry higher interest tariff. Then, hang onto the card after you make your buys and use it when you need it. Make all of your payments on time every month and in time, your credit score will really start to build because you’re demonstrating responsible use of credit. Excellent luck!
