Can you transfer a movie from Windows media player to a digital video camera to be edited?

I am plotting to make a machinima in the near future and I am taking recordings from a game. Whenever I record it, the record is stored in Windows Media player 11. I want to edit the clips, but I can only do that in my digital record camera. Help?

Answer by im_yakuz

Step 1: Convert MP4 to VOB or MPEG supported by DVD disc.
In this step you need a Record Converter, I recommend 4Videosoft Record Converter Platinum which can convert between any record formats including MPG, MPEG, MPEG2, VOB, MP4, M4V, RM, RMVB, WMV, etc and extract audio from these record.

Download here: http://www.aidownloading.com/4videosoft-record-converter-platinum.html

Step2: Burn the converted record to DVD disc.
In this step you need a DVD Burner software, I recommend Cucusoft Mpeg/Mov/RMVB/DivX/AVI to DVD/VCD/SVCD Converter. It enables you to convert and burn any record file directly to VCD, DVD, SVCD, MPEG1 and MPEG2 format.

Hope can help you!

Windows DVD maker only support some special formats, like wmv, mpg, etc, more record formats are incompatible fromats for windows DVD maker, such as mp4, mkv, mov, etc, so I am using another better program RZ DVD Creator, it can directly convert any movies(all formats, include mp4 etc) to record DVD and burn to any DVD disc(DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R DL, DVD+R DL, etc), and the burned record DVD can be played well on DVD player, better quality and more function than wdm. You can yahoo or google search and download RZ DVD Creator, work well, simple to use, hope it can help you.

And recommend you this record converter to help you to do the job
