I am shopping for a digital camcorder in the $ 200-300 price range. Need to be able to transfer to pc to edit, and have excellent zoom. I am partial to Sony and Panasonic brands.

I have a Panasonic GS40 – it has lasted me well, from getting soaked through each day with melted snow/ice & surviving total wipeouts on 3, week-long snowboarding holidays, plus heat & sand blastings on the beaches of Goa, and everything in between.

The zoom is fantastic but I reckon a lens upgrade would make it perfect. I did some perving on the beach and it zoomed in absolultely ridiculous distances to get me some nice clear images of sexy as$ bouncing around

Never used Sony products so I can’t comment on them.
