Nikon coolpix Lens Error Help...?

Nikon coolpix Lens Error Help...?

I bought a groundbreaking new Nikon Coolpix S510 four days ago, and ive hardly used it, ive never dropped it or hurt it or anything, but i turned it on this morning and the camera froze and the lens made a whirring signal. And the “lens Error” sign popped up and the lens was stuck and woulnt go back in. The battery was fully charged, and i looked it up, and a lot of nikon digital cameras have this fault. So i tried to fix it my hitting the cameras on its side a couple of times…and the lens when back in and now the cameras working fine again…. Can someone delight tell me whether i should send it back in for repair in case it happens again..? Heeelp

Answer by Elvis
you have 14 days to return it

Answer by Dory M
A four day ancient camera should not have done that. Recommend taking it back to the store immediately for a replacement. You may now have gotten a reshelved store return that somebody dropped.

The sun may rise but my D80 fell
nikon digital camera repair

Here’s my Nikon D80 after I dropped it. I’ll bet repairing it will be nearly as expensive as a groundbreaking new one….or possibly this is my excuse for the new D90 (since the D300 is completely out of my price range). Oh wait, I don’t have enough money for even replacing the D80…Thank God, my wife is letting me borrow her Canon EOS 400D.

Hi I have a Nikon digital camera and just recently i was by it and it worked fine but now for some reason when i turn it on i can’t see what I am taking a picture of and if I try to go back and see the pictures i have already taken it just shows distorted. The weird thing is I have a wire the i can connect it to the TV and when i connect it it works just fine the color is excellent i can see the picture and i can go back and see the recent pictures with no conundrum so does anyone have any advice is it something I could fix or should i just take it to a repair dude to save for myself from breaking it delight respond.

It sounds like the show was broken. That is usually not something you can fix yourself. It tends to happen from shock or pressure, so if you dropped the camera it is liable that the screen was hurt as a result.

Sorry about that, the camera is still helpful as a camera, you just won’t be able to see what you’re taking a picture of straight away.

Best of luck!
