When I look at digital cameras online, how do I know if the camera can zoom in while its taking a video?
Is it “Optical Zoom”?
The camera that I have right now can not zoom while I am taking a video, even though it can zoom in on pictures.

Also, none of the cameras I’m looking at seem to have the dimensions or quality of their video. How do I know if the video quality will be good?

The new digital camera, bought last week, taken with the old. An extraordinary improvement on the old one, and it’s only a fairly mid-priced model, too. I can’t imagine how good a really expensive one must be.

There are so any brands to chose from it it unbelievable. I am looking for a 4gb camera that is under 200$ or lower. The problem is that i find cameras that low in price but i’m not sure if they are really good quality or just cheap ones. So if anyone knows a good model of digital camera meeting what i wanted could you please answer?

Even though I own a Sony and love it, in general I’d say Canon.

I’d say Canon, but it really depends on what you need, here are the 2 good websites about cameras: http://www.steves-digicams.com/ and http://www.dpreview.com/. I’ve just upgraded my camera to the Canon SD630 from the sd400 and the SD630 is really awesome (even though it does not have a view finder)
Good luck

Not sure if there’s a “Best” brand, but certainly the top brands are Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Sony. Here’s a link to the top (most popular) digital cameras:

Canon Powershot A430, A530 or A540, are all great choices. You will need a decent memory card, though. I’d say get at least 512 MB.
