I have a JVC digital camcorder?

I have a JVC digital camcorder?

Ok, i got this JVC GR-D347U camcorder for $ 200. It is a digital camcorder. But i can’t get the videos that i have made with my camcorder onto my laptop. i looked into the booklet and it said that you needed a DV cable to transfer videos i have made to my laptop. So i did buy this cable, but it will not fit into my laptop!! I need help fast! is there someone out there that can tell me what to do. or is there like an adapter i can buy to make the DV cable work on my laptop because it will not fit in my laptop.
It tapes with mini DV tabes. how do i get it to fit into my laptop?!?

There are two different types of DV (Firewire) cables, one has a fat end and a small end (mostly for PCs), and another with two small ends (mostly for laptops and external DVD burners). Hopefully you can exchange it at the store for the right one. Or you don’t have an IEEE card in your laptop, pretty rare if it’s sort of new.

You need a “FireWire PCMCIA Card” (6-pin) for the laptop.
Your JVC has a DV connection (4-pin).

Therefore, you need a 6pin to 4pin Firewire cable, known as a IEEE 1394 Digital Video cable, for camcorders.

You are stuck unless you can get a FireWire input to your computer, possibly through the USB 2.0 connection or a docking station or a PCMCIA slot.

I prefer sony camcorders I have owned and worked with many in the past.

The setup and ease of use of them makes sense. Then come with a carl zeiss lens which is of good quality. There is good support in the aftermartket and if you want to add lenses or batteries or anything.

I bought a canon camera before and it was stupid you couldn’t use it and charge the battery, so i took it back and bought a sony.

JVC Everio GZ-MS110 Digital Camcorder… refurbished. It’s my second one… this video is recorded by my first one. The story is I got the first one as a floor model from Best Buy for 0 because they had none left. At the time it was selling for around 5. This refurbished one in the video was only at XS Cargo (almost 0 with tax) so I just couldn’t resist. Why two camcorders? This model is sweet on many levels. Having two camcorders enables me to take a time-lapse with one and catch live footage with the other, for example. I can conscript a helper to take video from a second vantage point. I can take simultaneous video of a larger field of view if I so desire. Extra battery power and easier cataloging. The advantages are many. This camcorder is a simple version in a line of more advanced models that have touch-screens and hard-drives. This one doesn’t, and it’s a good thing: less is more. Touch screens can get dirty and loose their sensitivity, and they really only provide the same access to functions that the physical buttons do. The lack of a hard-drive means there’s less mechanisms to break down on you, less moving parts, plus a lighter casing. Besides, SD Cards come in 32GB and larger capacities; that’s more than 16 hours of video, and your computer has a hard drive on which you’ll be doing all your work anyway. The zoom, focus, and image-stabilizer are all state-of-the-art features that this camera masters. The picture clarity is exemplary. It has the
