nikon coolpix s70 compared to the s230?

i have the nikon coolpix s230, and i despise it the clarity of the picture is dreadful and was wondering if the s70 was any better?

Why S70? My point of view, S8100, S9100 & P300 are much better choices in the same general price range.

I don’t usually upload different versions of the same image, though on this occasion since I originally did two edits of the orginal image, posting the sepia version as my daily pic, I thought it would be kinda fascinating to equate the editing processes I applied on Picnik with the orginal to illustrated how the different processes ehanced the texture of this image.

As I assembled the triptych in MS Paint and saved as a JPEG before uploading to Picnik to end, there is a slight deterioration in quality with the originals.

The EXIF details seem to have been removed in MS Paint, but I took this pic with my Nikon Coolpix P90. www.flickr.com/cameras/nikon/coolpix_p90/

can someone help me equate them! my mom said she would help me pay for it but at this point im wondering if newer is better?!?!?!

The Nikon is the way to go. each spec is above the SONY’s. New is better. Nokon 10MP is 3 more than the sony and the Nikon has VR this helps stabilize the camera and reduces blur because of shake.

This is a quick quality comparison between the three cameras. All the shots were taken in medium set alight. I took close up shots on a book to show you how the focusing will be, non of the cameras had a macro/ micro shooting mode.
