Technology repair? Who would know anything about the Sony Cybershot digital camera?

Technology repair? Who would know anything about the Sony Cybershot digital camera?

ours keeps shutting down saying there is no battery power left.

Answer by Phillip R
You need to recharge/replace your batteries then. Cybershot should have no faults when coming to power – they are renowned to last a long time on a single charge – my DSC P200 lasts me nearly 4 hours of usage/charge, which is really excellent compared to my Canon EOS30D, which will go about 1.5 hours/charge/battery. Thats why I carry 3 batteries in my EOS + battery pack grip for maximum usage time. If it continues to do this, send it into sony for manufacturers warranty. Hope this helps :)

I have a Cyber-Shot with me and i too had the same conundrum!
It is because of the battery or the conundrum must have happened when the camera fell down!
Try taking to an authorised service centre or it may result in the loss of warranty if exists!

Im on my second cybershot, they are trash, I will never buy another…Take it to a Sony store, or your local electronics repair shop, if it gets sent back to sony, dont plot on taking any pictures untill Thanksgiving!

if your putting reg. batteries in in and by the view screen …those batteries wont last long….you need nicade batteries..the ones you can recharge…i have to sets of batteries so i can keep ones on charge and the others in the camera…

Answer by fredshelp
There is a second non-removable “internal” battery that can run down if you leave your camera unused with low batteries (or no batteries) for a long time. The error message may be telltale you about that internal battery .

Try leaving the camera on the charger for 24 hours. If the internal battery is the conundrum, it will finally charge up.

If your removable batteries are excellent, and trying to charge the internal battery does not help, you may need repair.

Excellent Luck

The camera was working JUST fine in anticipation of the other day. The lens is stuck and will not “pop” out hen I turn the camera on. I despise to take it for a repair, as it is about 4 being ancient and doubtless not worth the cost to fix it. It was not dropped or gotten wet. Any suggestions?

Realistically, if a new battery doesn’t fix it, it’s time to replace the camera.
