What is the best digital camera brand out there?

I’m picking one out for my birthday….Nothing too pricey…but the most stylish and quality one?? Thanks =)

The new lumix camera. I reckon theyre called lumix dmc – g1. they’re pretty pricey unless you search it in equate.com it’ll show you the house everywhere you can get it for buck price

I like canon.

All of the major brands are excellent. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to reckon about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable house to buy it, and the list goes on and on and on…….

The first thing to realize is that nearly any digital camera will take excellent pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.

I really believe export a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read a lot of reviews on cameras so they can choose on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.

There is no “best” brand out there.It’s all a matter of opinion.I’m a Nikon man for myself.Most pros shoot with Nikon / Canon.
Look at your local Best Buy store.They have lots of them to choose from.Or for starters look on amazon.com.

Hello, i have been looking at digital cameras for the past month and i have come to the conclusion that i can’t not choose what brand should i get. I like to take pictures, but i mostly borrow my parents to take pictures. but i want to get my own now. i have been looking at cameras with about 7-10 megapixels so i can crop pictures and still look nice and it must have face detection also and other basic needs for a camera. But i have been flip-flopping between cannons,kodaks,nikons and pretty much any other brand out there. My sister just bought a cannon powershot for about 200 and it is a excellent camera, but i want more input before i waste a bunch of money. and i don’t plot on spending loads of money on it either, doubtless around 100-200 is about how high i will go. so does anyone have any recomendations for a excellent camera to buy, or atleast the best brand?

I personally like the Nikon, but a Canon is excellent too. In the $ 100-200 range it is going to be hard to find a really excellent camera no matter what brand it is.
