can digital cameras can take videos.....here [canon power shot camera]?

i don’t know whether diugital camera s can take video clips….
im going to buy canon powershot A580 or A470
….
i wanna know whether these digi cams can take video clips….
and if you know how long…..

OR

if the digital cameras like canon power shot or kodak…cannot take videos what should…i buy …to take videos and photos….
can camcoders take photos…..or only videoss.

suggest a thing that i can take videos and photos with excellent clarity….but the price must be below Rs.8000

For questions like that, go the manufacturer’s website.

They give specs for all their cameras and you can learn a lot about them, which will help you greatly in making your choice.

P.S. many small P&S cameras can take videos, but the quality will never be as excellent as a camcorder – it is best to choose which you want, instead of expecting one tiny small camera to do it all (and do it well).

The PowerShot SX1 IS.

Use rechargeable AA instead of normal alkaline. The alkaline batteries don’t last nearly as long.

The Powershot SX1 IS, or SX10 IS, though personally I suggest the former, for better quality, and HD movie recording, etc.

The Panasonic ultra-zooms are also brilliant; Lumix DMC-FZ18 and Lumix DMC-FZ20 are both the best ultra-zooms from Panasonic, and has been rated the highest out of all ultra-zooms (that is, the FZ20).

Unfortunately, most are very expensive, getting up to $ 800.

If you’re willing to pay, they are brilliant, but if not, then a simple Powershot A590 or thereabouts will do fine.
