It won’t show up yet.

You won’t have been hired so you can’t have been fired, so no unemployment.

Lol, my proposed new camera strap. Pretty sweet.

And for the record, I think this is a good case in point that not all shopping should be done on the internet.
2 years ago, before I got the DSC-T70, I was looking at Nikon or Canon’s point & shoots. I had wandered into a few camera shops to try stuff out, and I would ask about specs and everything like that. So I was considering getting a CoolPix and told him that a good macro would be really nice.
So then the salesman pointed out that this Sony (which had never really entered my shortlist) had fantastic macro where you could get a clear image even a few cms away. I tried it out and it seemed to get better and better.
So I got that camera and I’m sooo glad I didn’t just pay attention to specs that I thought mattered, and actually just tried them out to see which one felt the best, I guess.

So, thanks sales guy for selling me on Sony point & shoots. :)

And thank you place of employment, for giving me a bonus so that I could actually afford to buy this camera. ^_^

I work as a cashier at Best Buy, and have worked there for a year now, and recently found out that Best Buy let a lot of corporate employees go with severance pay. I am worried that I might lose my job now because I’m having trouble finding other employment. Should I be worried, or was this all false information?

Yes I would worry to be honest. I don’t think they are doing very good right now due to the economy. Word of mouth is the best job source out there talk to family, friends. co workers. Be careful who you talk to at work may get you fired anyways if you talk to the wrong person. Good luck !!!!!!!!

I wouldn’t be so worried right now. They did let go of a lot of corporate people (my husband is a Best Buy Mobile mangager and I used to work for BBY) but those were a bunch of jobs that were just a waste of money and time, like those “district” people you didn’t know what they did and wondered why they got paid money for doing nothing. They will always need cashiers. I’m guessing you are a good worker for being there for this long so as long as you keep working hard you most likely won’t get laid off. But I don’t see it coming to doing it to the people in the stores. Plus the holidays are about to be over so they will be getting rid of all the seasonal people.
