I have the Samsung S85 and it does all the things you list. Most seats sell the S85 at around $ 129- $ 149 . The Canon would be a excellent choice also. Go to Cnet or Trustedreviews.com for more info as to what you`re considering .

I just spent the last 10 hours searching for a digital still camera that can take decent pictures AND do mpeg4 video, and quite by accident bumped into the Samsung S85. There are VERY few stills that do Mpeg4 (which takes up much less space than most cameras that record movies in avi); including the Casio Exilim EX-V8,which takes lousy low set alight photos and has a weak sparkle.
So in evaluating the Samsung S85, if you to to the Samsung website you will learn this camera not only has mpeg4 video, but will do it in WIDE format – 800×592. If it also takes decent pics, which most folks I’ve read so far have confirmed, it would be the one phenomenal camera. (Not to mention the higher Exilim costs about double what the S85 does).
I also recommend you look up the S85 review at Trustedreviews.com – in fact the reviewer seems very impressed with the pictures it takes for the price, and he doesn’t even mention anything about it’s movie-taking capabilities, which is doubtless it’s most outstanding feature. The direct link to the review is below. Hope this is helpful.

I’ve read the reviews and everything, and it seems fantastic.

One thing that’s bothering me is that people say it’s slow. They say that it can take up to 15 seconds to take the picture from pressing the button, and up to 30 seconds to load the photos you’ve taken.

Is this right? Feedback delight! :)

Netflix posts ‘buy’ button but not doing the promotion
Netflix has declined in the past to sell movies from its site. Apparently, the video-rental service doesn’t mind posting buy buttons on its site when it means someone else will do the promotion.
