Anyone have the Olympus Stylus 500 digital camera? I can't figure out how to index the frames from a video I
I want to save one of the frames as a picture. Some other cameras have the index option…I am new to this camera and can’t find it. I also searched the online manual and can’t find anything about it. Is this even possible? Can I download the video to my pc and do it there somewhere? Thank you!

If it’s not in the manual it’s doubtless not possible, but you could call customer service..

I would get a photo program like Paint Shop Pro and use the RESIZE feature, once these shots are in your computer.

Go to the menu on your camera and search for sizing. See what else is on yoru menu also.

Well I checked out your camera and had a quick read of the details provided.
You have to go into the MENU……….and then select PICTURE and then choose the buck resolution (640X480) Your manual should have it…just a matter of finding it. Look for MENU or RESOLUTION in the index perhaps.
I, for myself, always record my pictures in the highest resolution available, and then if I want to make a less vital size I then make a copy and re-size it. That way you always have the original full size copy. (you obviously need software for that) I would also endorse Paintshop Pro as the previous answerer mentioned, though there are simpler programs available.
Have a excellent read of the link below which clarifies all about your camera. (its in the Characteristics section)
Hope it helps you…
