I am trying to capture video from a JVC digital video camera through Windows Movie Maker.?

I am running Windows XP, and was able to do this with this particular camera on my last system, but now when I click onto “capture video”, it does not recognize that I have my camera hooked up. Cables are ok and everything looks excellent. It just will not recognize my camera. Anyone have any suggestions??

I had similar conundrum with a sony, turned out I needed to download service pack 2.

When I press the record button it won’t stop recording for 5 seconds which messes up my stop animating, does anyone know how to reset it.
