Top Turrets……elevation is top steeple…windage is on the side. Did it come with a manual?

Nikon website should have one.

Most scopes are the same. Windage on the right, Elevation on the Top. May have take in caps you have to screw off to find the adjustment for the scope underneath. The way you tell if you have to take the caps off is if they do not have facts on them already. Hunting scopes are that way. Your scope will liable be in 1/4 or 1/8 MOA for each click. That should help you on how much you are moving the zero. Don’t force the knobs. You will ruin your scope.

That reticule always appears centered no matter how far youve
turned the knobs.
Try to get it back near center before you adjust your mount.
Then fine tune with the scope knobs.

Kingfisher (Family Alcedinidae) ♀
nikon buying guide

I have no thought why I captured this tiny bird at 420mm instead of 500mm. I estimate I was too excited and I was worried that it would glide away that I forgot to set up the camera properly. Dee went near for a better view but it flew before she could take the shot. We could have waited but it was time for me to leave.

This image was cropped significantly.

Of all the birds I saw at BCA, this Kingfisher and the hummingbird (sorry, no photo) was among the best.

Thank you Sal for charitable me a very detailed and animated description of this bird and how it feeds. I so much thank you Dee for as I have learned a lot from you. :)

I wanted to buy a bird guide book but I didn’t know what to get so I’ll borrow some books from the library tomorrow…

1. National Geographic Society – Field Guide to the Birds of America
2. National Geographic Field Guide to Birds of New York
3. Stokes Field Guides to Birds – Eastern Region
4. The Sibley Field Guide to Birds of Eastern North America

No. 1 has the best illustrations I’ve seen. I prefer illustrations over photographs because I reckon photographs shows more details.

Answer by Lalana
You can try Best buy. Certainly Call first and also try Wolf/Ritz Camera on Northwest Military, 281, or Pink Ridge Dr. or possibly Havel Camera on Basse or the Camera Exchange on San Pedro. You can always go to their website. Excellent luck.

Remember What Malls Looked Like in 1989?
Michael Galinsky of Rumor  took to the malls of American back in 1989, cheap Nikon in hand. Now, he desires to compile the images from another era of peak consumerism into a book.  I shot about 30 rolls of slide film in malls from Long Island to North Dakota to Seattle. It was hard to tell from the images everywhere they were taken, and that was kind of the point. I was attracted in the creeping loss …
