I have the same cammera. I dont believe you can, making a video is the closest thing. Possibly you can try to do an instantanious stream of the video or something

One word, NO.

Give your answer to this question below!

A few months ago I had my computer’s hard drive cleaned because of viruses. I tried to save the program that came with my Canon Powershot A530 camera, but it was lost. So now I cannot get my pictures uploaded to my computer.

I went to the Canon website to look for drivers for the camera, but it said there were no drivers available for either the model of my camera or my in commission system.

What can I do?

Any computer has the ability to import pictures directly from your camera to the computer. I don’t know what kind of computer you have, but I’m sure there is a way without the Canon Software. I have a mac and I never installed the software (I did once, liked it, but got a new computer and never finished up reinstalling).

If you plug the USB cord that came with the camera into the camera and the computer, if you have a PC, you should see something pop up in the bottom right corner saying new hard ware or something like that. You can also take the memory card out and place it in a card reader (if you have one-either installed on your machine, or an external USB card reader). If you have a mac, iPhoto should open automatically to upload pictures!

I came crosswise this website: This driver may work for you if you fulfill the computer requirements (i.e. Windows Machine, etc..)

Hopefully those can help you: Goodluck!! :)

Your canon camera does not need a driver or canon software to download the pictures. I have the A570IS and have never used the software or needed a driver. I just either plug the camera usb cord into the pc, turn it on and place it in playback mode. Windows gives a box to choose from or I use my usb card reader and avoid the camera hassles. Yoiu just copy/paste from the card to your pictures folder on your pc.

I have vista and when I plug my camera in windows photo gallery comes up auto and questions for tag, at this point I name my file. I use the date.
