which digital camera is better?

i am about to go black friday shopping, and buy a camera for my parents, and i have found 2 that i am interested in.

Kodak C82 12.0 Megapixel Digital Camera – which at walmart is only $ 69.00
or
List powershot sd1200 IS 10.0 megapixel digital camera – at Best Buy for $ 149.99

the prices are so different, but the cheaper one has more megapixels, which is confusing me. i dont know much about cameras at all, so which one would make an average photographer like my parents more pleased. thanks

I would recommend the Cannon
Cannon’s are a lot better than Kodak if they are digital.

I would go for the List.
It has a lot of fantastic reviews on the bestbuy website.
And it has some fantastic freatures.
Megapixels doesnt necesarily make the picture have better quality, thats mostly for if youre going to blow the picture up to a huge siz when youre going to print them..
