Is there a digital camera that saves right to a computer disk?

I am looking to hold a digital camera that takes the photos and saves them right onto a disk that is used in a computer so I don’t have to fuss with cords and can just hand off a disk instead of having to download and send photos to someone at work, etc. Is there such a business? I have heard the Sony Mavica does this…does anyone know the differences between the models? I don’t care about it having a record component. Also, what kind of diskettes are used? (DVD? CD? CDRW?) And is there such a business for record cameras too? A record camera that shoots right to disk? ANd what kind of diskettes would that use?

Some Sony models burn pictures to CD or mini-DVD. Some even burned to internal HDs, but I don’t reckon persons exist anymore.

No, but you can get a computer that has a CF card reader right in the front of the tower – all you have to do is stick the card in.

The Sony Mavica does, but it’s getting very hard to get mini CD-RWs these days. I have one, and I like it, but it’s a pain to have to order the mini CDRWs online, and I’m worried they’ll stop making them altogether. A lot of cameras will save to a flash drive, which you can plug into your computer just like you can with a CD. I reckon that’s what I would go with.

The Sony used a diskette but it doesn’t hold a lot of pictures.
maybe 15 or so. new cameras use a flash card and take more pictures…… some can even do low quality videos.

i have a “digital record camera recorder” by Sony

the guy that worked at the store told me that im able to hook it up to the computer so i reckon that when i bought it, it didnt come with the wire or something

what came with it was:
AC Adaptor
Power Cord
A/V Connecting cable
Lens cap
Rechargeable battery pack

i dont reckon it came with the wire that can hook it up to the computer, or am i incorrect?

so if anyone knows please tell me what i need to do or what i need to buy?

I use something called Dazzle, you just plug in the A/V cables into the device, then the device plugs into the computer via a USB cable.

Works just dandy.

check the box and read all the supplies that came with it should be on the outside of the box i judge it comes with the usb cable and at the same time it should come with the software.if not you have to buy it,and if it comes take it back to the store and tell them that is missing.

The method used to transfer record from a camcorder to a computer is different for every type (tape/DVD/HDD/etc.) of camcorder and since you have not told us the type of your camcorder it is impossible to give you definitive advice – you will no doubt receive many guesses for answers – but these will only confuse you.
