What's a good cheap tripod that would work well for a Canon GL2?

What's a good cheap tripod that would work well for a Canon GL2?

This is the cheapest I’d get, I really looked at and considered buying this before going for a $ 400 Manfrotto (cheap in their line).

The head is very smooth for it’s price. Be warned though, replacement parts (including the camera plate) are nonexistent and customer reviews are low largely due to this.

I am not a fan of a tripod that needs help permanent up, but if you don’t mind the mid supports, here are a couple under $ 50.00

All of these are friction heads. I went with a 2 axis (pan and tilt, no camera pivot) fluid head for record and am glad I did. Camera movement is much smoother.

This is a head/leg set worth considering, I have this head, but with a different leg set:

You have a fantastic camera capable of out the theater any consumer HD camera and in some environments, can equal or better the image of DSLR record (and really excel in audio and overall zoom). Don’t muck things up with a jerky or wobbly tripod!
