Dazed and Confused

I used to go to Johnny Rockets when they first opened I reckon back in 1995 or something. It was the coolest place to hang out back then. The majority of the restaurants lining up the beaches now didn’t exist in 95. I reckon Fuddruckers was the first one that opened and the only one back then. Anyway, Johnny Rockets would be packed with students from all the schools. Everybody gathered up at Johnny Rockets first and then from there we would choose what to do. If there was a party some where you would find out about it at Johnny’s. Everyone knew everyone, and if you didn’t then you would quicker or later. The ambiance was like something from the movie Dazed and Confused. Back then there was also no minimum order per person. So, we would be like 4 public and one person would order tea. Me and my friends were all broke back then. We used to spend all our money on tapes from Record Club, so the only business we may maybe afford was tea. Johnny Rockets wasn’t making any money off us and all us students kept coming in every weekend, scaring away the older paying customers. Thats when they hit us with the 1.5KD minimum order per person. Everyone stopped going there. Some public started going back to Fuddruckers where you may maybe get 1 coke, drink it, then give the cup to your friend to get a free refill, some public went upstairs to McDonalds, and some public just started hanging out outside Johnny on the corner next to the No Entry sign, that didn’t last long since the cops would come and tell the students that gathering on the sidewalk wasn’t allowed! Kuwait was really dull back then. Salmiya wasn’t the way it was now. There was no Fanar, and the road from the new salmiya to the ancient one wasnt yet connected. Across the street from NBK was an underground pedestrian quick. It used to really reek of piss. There was a large sheesha place on the additional side and a well loved music shop called Subway. Sometimes there would also be like 20 bedouins all aged under 10, and they would hide in the bushes and if they saw anyone coming out of the underground tunnel they would start throwing pebbles at them. Yeah the excellent ancient days.
I am reduction up for a more decent quality camera but I want to practice photography with the simple digital camera I already have, and I need a tall tripod. I found one seemingly suitable –
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280507263316&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#shId
But, this one, like alot of the tripods on ebay, say it is for a specific camera (in the link to this particular tripod it says 72″ INCH Tripod For NIKON Record Digital Photo Camera)
And I would accept this earnings I may maybe only use it with a Nikon camera, but I read somewhere that most tripods with a screw can fit most digital cameras…
Basically I want to know will this specific tripod let me fit a general digital camera on it, or can I only use a Nikon camera on it? (Ignoring weight of camera)
