Q&A: Who is insignia tv brand?

Q&A: Who is insignia tv brand?

I know that they only sell their harvest to best buy and they make tvs, but what else? Where are they based? Is it another brand thats making these tvs and selling them as Insignia harvest at best buy? Just wonderin, reading consumer reports and they have some high rated HDTVs and ive never heard of them.

Insignia is Community Trademark . in-house brand . so call BUYER BRAND / OEM BRAND ..
Insignia brand only sold in USA . Canada. The trademark holder only ” for marketing ” . not manufactures. all TV made by China small TV maker . under buyer brand, you can get the same TV in China and third world countries sold under their community buyer brand. if you like, you able to order the same model and PRINT under you ” own brand name ” and sold it in USA . each order min quantity around 3000 unit .
only small factory except buyer-brand order. persons world brand TV maker ie Samsung / LG/Sony/Panasonic/Sharp/Toshiba /Sanyo. will not except OEM brand order ! even 1000000 unit pre shipment. ( some best-buy sales man will tell you the TV is made by LG or..)
Because of PRICES, buyer brand TV only select low quality PARTS, some model MAY use LG or Samsung Korea made LCD show panel , but select GRADE B type . ( because there don’t manufactures show panel by own , all parts is out source ).
OEM brand is CHEAP, subject to reliable and spare parts supply after 3/4 years. because if you don’t continue order new TV, China maker will not ” sales ” any parts to you.
Worth to paid more for Samsung / LG / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba / Sony for quality / reliable.
there manufactures TV by own from End to End. use own manufactures grade A type LCD show panel , designs back-up by 40 + years R & D team.harvest ( more than 100 electronics items ) sold and technical support under own brand worldwide , !

Need to know today! Mom’s ancient GE finally terminated (brilliant quality throughout it’s whole time–22 yrs) and I want to replace it with a new HD tv. I’ve checked with consumers report and innumerable on-line guides but the information (additional than cs’ recomendation on Sanyo’s DP26649) just does not seem complete since there are no charts/comparisons which I can reference against the info on the Sanyo set… one more conundrum I have is distrust of unfamiliar brands (my experience has been limited to non-hds from Zenith, GE, and Philips–terrible experiences with Sharp and RCA). After reading through the innumerable guides I still do not know if 1080p or 720p, 26″ or less, is the assess hold (bright room, viewing distance of about 78″ @ zero angle) for a dear and modest lady.

At 26 inches, save your money and go with 720p , you
wont see any difference between 720p and 1080p on a
small TV like that. I would recommend 1080 around after
46 inches or maybe a small around 42inches.
