what is the best digital camera to buy right now?

i know nothing about digital cameras nor what to look for in them. plus, what are some excellent sites to buy the one you recommend?

If you know nothing about digital cameras, you may want to take a class in photography and learn how to use a fully adjustable camera. Then you can make a excellent choice when it comes to spending $ 500 to $ 1000 on a camera system.

At present the best (must useful) is the Nikon D90 for cameras under $ 1000 and D700 for the least expensive full frame DSLR with low noise at high ISO features.

japanese ones are always excellent, but go for the expensive cameras… they are way better.

Do you want a simple point and shoot camera that’s fully automatic? Would you rather learn using a different camera’s shutter speeds? Do you want tiny? Would you prefer a positively large camera and lots of zoom (bringing distant subjects in quicker)? There is no best but a lot to choose in what you really want. Major brands are Fuji, Sony, List, Nikon and Panasonic for point and shoot cameras.

Plastic patio chair spotted stuck on a weir in the waterway Calder. I took this photo particularly with the League of the Empty Chair in mind, but I only had my infrared point & shoot with me at the time.

Taken with a Sony Cybershot P200, bought on ebay for £20, converted into a point+shoot infrared camera.

i need a new digital camera. i go to a lot of concerts so i need a very excellent zoom! and a fantastic record and camera taking quality. soo what do you recomend? helppp.

I just bought the Samsung SL620 and it is AMAZING. it zooms while you take record and the camera zoom is incredible. it has 12.4 mega pixels and is just incredible! PERFECT for concerts.

Don’t know about record. Very excellent super zoom camera is the List SX10 IS. Shutter/aperture priority, image stabilizer, and brilliant on batteries. Very excellent image quality.
