I have a kodak digital camera and the videos import to Kodak EasyShare automatically?
and I want to edit the videos into Windows Movie Maker. It won’t let me open the videos. So how can I get a free movie editor that will open the videos from Kodak Easyshare?
Answer by snowwillow20
You need to convert those files to use with WMM. http://www.handbrake.fr/ free converter.
Or
Get some good editing software and avoid conversion. I use pinnacle studio 11 ultimate.
WMM supports video files asf, avi, dvr-ms, m1v, mp2, mp2v, mpe, mpeg, mpg, mpv2, wm,and wmv

Pinnacle Studio Ultimate may or may not be good editing software (its only good if it does what YOU want it to do) but your camera captures video in the .mov (QuickTime) format. Pinnacle Studio Ultimate cant open this file type directly so you'll still need conversion software. This is from Pinnacles Specs for this software
"Import Formats
Video: DV, AVI, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MOD, DivX®*, MPEG-4*, 3GP (MPEG-4)*, WMV, Non-encrypted DVD titles*"
WMV files (Windows Video) and MOV files (Apple Quicktime) are proprietary video files. I know of no commercial software which opens them directly except Microsoft software for Windows Video and Apple software for Quicktime Video. I only know of open source software which will do the conversions.
Heres a link to free software which will do this conversion. There are others depending on the final output you want to work with. Videohelp.com has lots of freeware for video conversion, editing, capture and ripping.

kodak z612 digital camera – internal memory full. 1G SD memory card already attached to the camera. there are only 21 photos and the internal memory is full. how can the SD 1G memory card help or substitute? i could not find answers in the kodak website.
Answer by MrKnowItAll
Open the flap on the side of the camera where the memory card is. Press in the memory card and remove your finger. The memory card will pop outwards. Grasp and remove the old memory card. Insert the new memory card in the same orientation the old one was in. Press it inward until it locks in place. Close the side flap. You are done. The memory card has been replaced.
