your camera when you bought it it had to come with a wire to hook up on your computer
Answer by polskitrucizna8
it depends what kind of camera. Some will use a USB cord ( ususlly built-in in package) or, sometimes there is a chip in the camera, and you have to take it out and insert it directley into your computer, or get an adapter to transfer the footage.
Answer by Dork-on
Their should able a USB wire. Once you plug it in the PC it should pop right up and question you what you wont to do.
~or~
If you have ha Sony computer, remove the memory stick and open up the compartments on the front and place the card in the only slot it will fit. Same business should happen. Something will pop up and question what you want to do. IF that doesn’t happen then.
Go the the start menu and then click (My computer) you will see the Sony memory stick icon. Open it up and open all the folders your find. Once you find the record drag it to the desktop.

On digital cameras, Fire Wire you’ll probably need a PCI FireWire card too
On analog cameras a capture card or sway from Happague, Turtle Beach or Dazzle.

Mountain Lion Sighting Record
Image by Beyond the Trail [Gary]
Just digitized — this was taken with a small Sony Camcorder (8mm analog tape) on Oct. 25, 1994 on a remote Forest Service road eight or so miles from Hayfork, California.
I heard this cat yowling for several minutes before I got the sighting. Figured it was a cat of some kind but was thinking more along the lines of a bobcat or lynx — when the mountain lion came padding boldly into view — must admit — surprised the heck out of me. The cat didn’t show much sign of alarm — except — it stopped yowling instantly when it saw me. I was permanent a few feet from my pickup — just off the edge of the road — in apparent view of the cat.
A couple of minutes after leaving the road — the mountain lion started yowling again — was later a small arroyo which parallels the road. Walking along the road — over the course of the next 50 or so minutes — I was able to keep in contact (within hearing distance) of the cat — never got another visual sighting but was able to capture some of its yowls.
Looking at the footage now — it’s apparent that I did a lousy job of keeping the cat centered in the camera’s tiny viewfinder. But — even after all these years — can still recall why — was so really caught up in the moment — a mix of equal parts Awe and Excitement — tickled beyond belief — the camera was nearly forgotten ….

This was my first ever record upload — and — my very first analog to digital record conversion — so really didn’t know what the heck I was doing …..
i was thinking about getting a camera for my birthday… so i was looking at cameras i was wondering if the Sony VX 1000 Digital Record Camera is excellent for skateboarding and if it has fish eye and does it have usb for my computer
Answer by Rugratzzzzzzzzzzz
Its a Mini-dv camcorder, (unless you have the model incorrect) so you cannot use USB to go record you have to use Firewire. Its not going to come with a fish eye lense, you will have to get one.
Not sure if its going to be a excellent one for what you want as its a large camera, you may be better off with a media card camera. But thats your choice.
I suggest you read up on the camera

The VX1000 may maybe be anything from 14 to 9 years ancient, they’ve not made them new in years. It was a ground braking camera in it’s day, but it’s day was 1995.
Cameras these days have widescreen chips, fold out LCD screens and some even have HD.
If you want a similar sized camera with grab handle then I would opt for a Sony FX-1 or List XG-A1. The nearest in spirit to a vx1000 but with the benefit of more modern technology.
I would avoid a used VX1000 because they will have been through the mill.
All of the cameras I mention connect via firewire, none have a fisheye lens as standard you would need to buy an aftermarket adaptor.

The VX1000 was realeased in 1995, but was discontinued in 1999. You can ONLY get them on eBay or the SP classifieds nowadays.
Since the VX1k is an 11 year ancient camera, which is not manufactured anymore, result parts or getting it fixed can be hard. Another drawback is night footy. In nearly any situation relating the VX1k and darkness results in disgusting grain. This can be prevented, but. You need to have a excellent amount of lights. There is also a way to get rid of the grain in After Effects, but I’m not too sure how to do that. I’ll get back at you on that one.
