What would be a good entry level digital camera ?

Now that I have a media center desktop,I learned taking photos and videos and downloading them.(I learned from my cell phone camera)I like List Powershot and Kodak easyshare …$ 150 to $ 200 price range.What would be some excellent choices?

It depends on what you like. If your looking for top quality hi resolution pics then id recommend a Digital SLR camera. Digital SLR’s are very expensive like $ 450+ range and take professional quality pictures for artists and such.

Additional everyday cameras like point and shoot are really simple. Cannon is a well loved brand that is known to be excellent for vacation pics and parties etc. The Kodak Easyshare cameras are really nice for only $ 180.

List is a much more reliable camera than Kodak. Check out the Powershot A series.

okay. for christmas im plotting on getting a excellent digital camera, between the price of 100-180$ . im only a teenager, so i dont need anything professional or overpriced!
i dont want an hideous, bulky camera, which canons and nikons typcially are.
i want one that comes in a nice color, excellent zoom options, and is compact, and also takes quality record with sound that is uploadable to youtube and additional websites.
i’ve had experience with some older cameras that my dad has that the flash brightens out some of the picture, so i dont want a camera that does that any!

so please give me some brand and model names of cameras that include the things i’ve mentioned.
if you help me out i’ll answer a question that you have posted as well.

Hey,
Since you ruled out List and you appear to really want something slim take a look at Casio’s line of camera’s. They are a pretty decent camera that covers all your requirments. The EX-Z75 is only $ 179. It’s slim, comes in a ton of colors (the link is for the pink one but there are plenty of additional colors) and even comes with a Youtube mode built right in. The movies are ready to be uploaded as soon as they go on your pc, no messing with them. Hope this helps and excellent luck!

i just invested in a kodak simple share c316, and I like it. it only cost $ 120, and is awesome. I suggest any camera that offers a fantastic deal of scene settings because this will take a lot of frustration out of some of your picture taking. But make sure you learn how to use the scene settings (most public don’t read the instruction manual) this is a must. It is also small and a pretty pearlecent color
