PC to HDTV. If I don't buy a "High resolution" vga cable I can ruin the lesser cable, and/or worse picture?

Was about to buy a VGA extension to hook up my mainframe to my new HDTV. Didn’t reckon twice about the “high resolution” VGA and what not. I figured VGA is VGA. If I can get HD on my fixed computer monitor, with its “supplied” cable, how would it be any different with Mainframe to HDTV.

ANYWAY, I was about to hold this http://cgi.ebay.com/Dynex-DX-C101771-6-VGA-SVGA-PC-Monitor-Extension-Cable_W0QQitemZ320344462402QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPCA_Cables_Adapters?hash=item320344462402&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2|65%3A7|39%3A1|240%3A1318#ebayphotohosting

Until I was looking at the best buy reviews and saw this! Any thoughts!?!?!
“If you do not buy a high resolution VGA or SVGA cable for your pc to hook up to an HD Monitor or HDTV, it may maybe ruin the smaller resolution cable when connected to a high resolution device. Already came across that, so trust me and you may maybe save a lot of money.”

I never heard of a high resolution VGA cable. My ancient 1280×1024 HDTV ready 4:3 monitor (which looks the same using VGA or DVI) has more pixels than my 1366×768 HDTV (which works with my mainframe using a plain ancient VGA cable). But many newer monitors really have more pixels than 1920×1080 resolution of 1080p. So it is probably advertising hype for expensive (profitable) cables.

For my monitor, a less expensive bendable DVI cable that came with my up converting DVD player really works better than a more expensive thick stiff Monster cable (which seems to stress the sockets or my record card, making record not work at times). For the DVD player I am now using a $ 26 Phillips gold plated DVI to HDMI cable that I got some place like Wal-Mart or Target.

There probably isn’t a whole lot of difference in the cables and you beyond doubt won’t hurt anything in any event. Save your money. Cables are one of the highest markup items that a retailer sells.

This is the best bag I’ve ever owned.

On average, since I was 16 I’ve changed bags every 15 days. I receive 2 bags a month to review / use from companies and I bought this bag 5 months ago and have been using it every single day since without fail.

It’s the best mainframe bag you’ll ever buy if you’re a bicycle rider.

I want want to get a List EOS Digital Rebel XTi (even Body only). I have seen really terrible reviews from some online sellers. Where have you bought items like this with the best prices. I am looking for a reliable company.

Check the listings in Shutterbug magazine. KEH, B&H, ADORAMARA all come to mind – they all advertise in Shutterbug and the magazine has positively high standards.

I have no thought how experienced you are with DSLR cameras so please don’t take offense. If you’re inexperienced, I’d strongly urge you to buy from a community camera store. The sales staff is trained and able to answer questions and offer advice. That’s something you’re unlikely to get from an on-line seller, no matter how reputable.

B&H is excellent, but you’ll pay tax if you live in NY. Best online is Cameraworld.com

Part 2 of 2: Classic Toy Room reviews AT-AT Star Wars toy from Hasbro, the four legged Imperial Walker invades the back yard of planet Back Yard 7!! The At-At, or All Terrain Non-delicate Convey, is first seen in The Empire Strikes Back invading Hoth to ruin the buffer generator. There is a quick sighting of one in Restore of the Jedi but for life the COOLEST Star Wars vehicle ever made it rarely gets the attention it deserves. The At-At vehicle was originally unrestricted after The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 but was amazingly expensive so few public had them. This new version is also expensive but what a toy it is… fans of Star Wars or persons who want to buy their kids the best gift ever pay attention
