Q&A: space heater help please?

My furnace broke down and the gas company wont be out to my home till Feb 1st so in the meantime I want to buy a good space heater to heat up the the room. I really dont know alot about them so I need some suggestions on some good ones such as brand and model, are they energy effeciant (not to run of electric bill) safe and not expensive (preferably not more than $ 40) The stores I live near are Meijers, Wallmart, Target, Best Buy, and abc warehouse. Help please Im freezing

try to get ahold of a good HVAC tech.he should be able to fix your problem sooner,be very careful of space heaters, they are famous for causing fires.”Delonghi” is a brand NOT to buy.Try “Genesis”.Good Luck….. BRRRR!!!!….SORRY!!!

Go to Home Depot if you have one or a hardware store, and buy a Delonghi brand oil heater. They are tall and slim and have a thermostat on them. They work efficiently and are around 39 dollars.
We use one in our garage to keep my husbands tools from building up condensation. They heat very well and they are pretty safe. They are electric so you would plug it in to an outlet. They heat up oil inside of the unit to warm the area you want warm.

Avoid the ceramic kind–they will not warm hot or fast enough.

I haven’t tried the oil ones, but the ‘radiant’ type heaters work well for me. You’ll recognize the type because when you turn them on they glow orange.

I use a Lakewood Radiant Forced-Air Heater–got it at Orchard Supply Hardware for under fifty bucks. http://www.lakewoodeng.com/heaterpgs/205.html
handles a medium-sized bedroom very cozily.

I’m 13 years old, (female) and wear a women’s size 11 shoe >.<
so I need stores that have the following:
1) Lots of selection for 11s
2) Teenish styles (ie ballet flats, sneakers...casual shoes...)
3) Reasonably priced shoes (and for online stores, free shipping is the best, though not a requirement)

This sounds like a lot, but I've been everywhere including
Target
Macys
Nordstrom
DSW Shoe Warehouse
Payless
Famous Footwear etc. I'm ready for some good stores online or not.

Thanks!!! Also this is much appreciated, I'm yet to find any shoes for school, and it starts tomorrow!!!! Yes, I'm in panic mode.
I'd appreciate some REAL answers. not spammers thanks.
Gala thanks! I live in San Diego too. I've been all over Horton Plaza, Fashion and Mission Valley without much luck. Everynow and then I'll get a rare and random success, but recently, there's been slim pickings. Expect a best answer in a little bit ;)
