What is the best digital camera to buy?

What is the best digital camera to buy?

I am thinking of buying my first digital camera and was wondering what is the differance in pixels? I have seen 3.o to an 8.0. What would be the best choice for school events, sports, concerts, award ceremonies? Simple to use. Reasonable priced. your responses will be greatly appreciated.

The only brand i would even consider is Sony–only because they stand behind their product so well. I bought a Sony Cybershot 3.2 MegaPixels three years ago and I have not had 5 seconds distress. Sony is outstanding for customer help also.

I too am new to the digital world and bought one for Christmas. I bought a fugifilm finepix. It was user friendly and only cost me 150.00. It came with everything I needed. Can print my pictures out for myself, we have really loved this one. I judge it is a 4.1 Megapixels. Check them out at Wal-Mart.

I have a kodak easyshare that is very simple to operate. It is a 4.0 megapixel and takes awesome pics. I would consider the optical zoom on the digital cameras as the optical zoom is done in the lense. The digital part of the zoom can tend to distort your images. A lot of the digital cameras have nearly no optical zoom and all digital. That’s just what I have experienced, but I am no expert by any earnings. For a small fee you can get consumer report’s rating on a bunch of different kinds of cameras. I found it very useful.

Eric Gould joined us at Silber Studios to demonstrate innumerable camera angles and how to choose the best one for your shot. Eric shows you how to take shots from many different angels and heights and how these exchange the way your subject will look. For example, he shows a tip for helping an overweight person look thinner. You can easily follow along with Eric to see how these will work for you.
