Is anyone a member of the website "Consumerreports.org?"... can you please please please help me?

Hi. Okay so a month or two ago, my grandmother gave me one of her Consumer Reports magazines because it had an article about the best Digital Camera’s and she knows I’ve been reduction up to get one, but I didn’t know which kind to get… So I got it from her, read it, chose which one I liked best, but didn’t write it down. Well, now when I’m ready to my my camera, I can’t find the magazine anywhere, and I really reckon my mom threw it out. So I went online to try to find the same article, and I found it, but it won’t let me read it because I don’t have a subscription. Can you please please help me?!?!

((To prove I had the magazine— I remember another article in the same magazine about best pancake mixes, and one was a spray can type business and I found it really eerie. It said about it that they were nice and fluffy, but it didn’t have many servings in the one can and it was better just to buy the add water kind or something. Plus, in the camera article, it had a different list for SLRs and i reckon the additional one is called DSLRs or something lol. [I was just looking at the smaller ones, not the professional ones.] and the article went on to clarify the differences.))

Okay, so anyway, i would really like to get that list back for the best digi cameras, so if anyone is a member, may maybe you go to this page–

http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/electronics-computers/cameras-photography/digital-cameras/point-shoot-digital-camera-ratings/ratings-overview.htm

and copy and send the list to me? (any on here or email me through yahoo!)

I would SSOOO greatly be grateful for it. So please Help me!!! Thank you!!

Just go to http://www.dpreview.com It is much better than consumer reports – they are all camera specialists whereas consumer reports is a series of non-expert opinions.

Give your answer to this question below!

Hi all,
I am stuck between these two digital cameras. They both have really excellent features and ratings but i just need to know different opinions! Which one should I go for?
I’ve place some links below to the two cameras, both on the John Lewis site.
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H50 link: http://www.johnlewis.com/230480015/Product.aspx
Panasonic Lumix DMX FZ18: http://www.johnlewis.com/230448304/Product.aspx
If the links don’t work just search for the camera names above on the john lewis website (www.johnlewis.com).
Thanks!

I’m reasonably fond of the Sony megazoom cameras, and I recently upgraded from a Sony DSC-H1 to DSC-H50. I was really reasonably pleased with the H1 still, more than 3 years after buying it, but a couple of features on the H50 tempted me:

* The camera can be operated through a remote control. In addition to self-portraits, this is excellent for leaving your camera somewhere on its own, pointing to a place you reckon an fascinating animal, insect or something will appear, and then shoot. It’s hard to get close to animals and insects in person sometimes.

* The camera has a screen on the back that can be at an angle at innumerable angles, making it excellent for taking photos from high above your head and conveniently also from ground level. I find this option often makes for creative photography!

I recently spent a few days in the woods in Norway photographing, and you can see some of the results at

As you can see, the camera appears to do its job very well.

Excellent luck choosing! #8D)
